Cookie Policy

This policy explains how cookies are used on tahiralaybeyi.com. It follows the Turkish Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on Cookie Practices.

Short answer

This site sets no cookies unless you click something.

That is why no consent banner greets you: there is nothing to consent to. When you open a page, your browser connects to tahiralaybeyi.com and to nothing else.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a site. Cookies let sites recognise you, remember preferences, or measure what you do.

This site's own cookies

There are none. The site collects no statistics, has no login, stores no preferences, and uses no advertising network. Nothing is written to your browser under this domain.

Every file the site needs — including its fonts — is served from its own server. Simply viewing a page therefore sends your IP address to no third party at all.

Third-party cookies — only when you press play

The videos and audio in the portfolio do not load with the page. In their place you see a cover image and a play button, and those cover images are hosted here, not fetched from YouTube.

The moment you press play — and only then — the relevant player loads, and these cookies may come into play:

Provider Loads when Purpose More
YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) You press play on a video Playback preferences, view statistics, abuse prevention Google Privacy Policy
SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG) You press play on a track Operating the player, listening statistics SoundCloud Cookie Policy

Videos load through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain, which reduces — though does not entirely remove — what is set before playback begins.

None of these are strictly necessary cookies. Their legal basis is the explicit consent you give by pressing play. If you never press play, none of them are ever set.

Withdrawing consent

You can delete any cookies already set from your browser settings:

  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

You can also block third-party cookies entirely. The site itself will keep working normally; only the embedded players may be affected.
